Tinamastes

Tinamastes is a very small town at cloud forest altitude (over 1,000 feet), located 15 minutes from the city of San Isidro del General, and 20 minutes from the resort town of Dominical on the Pacific Coast. What Tinamastes lacks in amenities (no banks, hardware stores, supermarkets, etc.), it makes up for in stunning ocean vistas, cool weather, and a lack of biting mosquitoes. Many folks are buying second or retirement properties in the area, due to the ideal location. The upper reaches of Tinamastes are above the fog line, so one should be careful to buy below that line unless one does not mind being socked in for much of the rainy season.
